After living in a semi furnished home for the past 3 years, our clients hired avenue design inc to design a new home office as well as furnish the main floor. Functionality and book/filing storage was a must for the whole family - we delivered! The rest of the space took on a breezy feel, with vivid accents of yellows and blues to brighten up the flow from room to room. Lakeshore

This 1100 sq ft 2 bed and 2 bath condo got a complete makeover courtesy of avenue design inc. The original space was dated and lacking in functionality. We worked with the client to not only make the space flow more easily but also to be more personalized to his aesthetic. Keeping in mind the constraints of working in a condominium, we were able to open up the kitchen and revise the layouts of the bathrooms for a cohesive look.

Using contrasting tones of black and white throughout, we warmed up the colourway with lots of warm woods and accents of bright colours.

Sheraton Penthouse suites

Avenue design inc was hired by the Sheraton Parkway North to decorate their newly refreshed penthouse suites. With the existing milk chocolate toned wall-to-wall carpeting, we used cool tones and pops of colour to neutralize and revitalize the space - making it an enjoyable stay for all guests.

Rosebud

This house was inspired by our clients love of Japanese kutani ware. Infusion of Asian and modern elements help create a warm yet dramatic design. We layered concrete, live edge wood, and matte black finishes to create depth and dimension to this multi-use space.

Children's Wish Foundation

Avenue design inc. was approached by the Children's Wish Foundation to create a special space for a very deserving young man. Kyle was born with cerebral palsy and has a host of other medical ailments that deter him from travelling. So instead of a dream trip to Disneyland or to a sport's game, we decided to overhaul his room.

We set out to give him his own MAN CAVE - a space to not only alternatively stimulate or soothe him, but also a functional, organized and safe environment for his mother and care givers. A large portion of this room overhaul would not have been possible without the generous contributions of many trades and suppliers!
Blue Spruce

A compact space full of character and storage. The two tone hex floor simulates water trickling into the room, and sets the tone for the rest of the finishes. Walnut toned cabinetry provide lots of storage - the large shallow pantry cleverly hides the electrical panel within. Clean and crisp white Caesarstone countertops and white subway tile highlight the black sink and antique brass faucet.
St Germain

New turnkey custom home in the Upper Avenue community in Toronto. We wanted to keep a consistent, transitional feel to the exterior of the house to blend in well with the neighbourhood, but have a very modern and airy interior. Playing with tone on tone colour, finishes and textures, the final result is a light and bright canvas for the client's various artwork and treasures from his travels around the world.

Avenue design was hired on to create a striking exterior, with a fresh and funky interior layout in the newly added front foyer area as well the main floor. Avenue design was in charge of layout, finishes and fixtures, millwork design and all furniture and accessories. Emphasis was placed on making the space entertainment friendly with warm elements and punches of colour throughout.
Kingston

A complete gut and renovation of this 1300 sq ft penthouse loft was needed to bring the space up to the modern, funky vibe that the clients were striving for.
Custom handmade brick veneer was laid by hand piece by piece, and is highlighted with polished concrete floors and exposed ducts to add to the industrial feel. A new galley kitchen and understair storage to match create an open concept feel – every inch of space was accounted for so that the loft is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also a functional and well organized for the homeowners. In the master bathroom, the rarely used bathtub was removed and an oversized shower was installed in its place. Wall hung storage was key in a space with limited floors pace. Eclectic accessories and artwork, as well as minimalistic furnishings add character and reflect the personality of the owners.

An approximately 1,000 sq ft addition was built onto an existing backsplit home. The addition included an enlarged walk-out basement, a new dining room, a larger guest bathroom, and a new master bedroom, walk-in as well as ensuite bathroom for the homeowners. Marrying the transitional style of the existing kitchen and living room,
I added a modern, bright and spacious feel to the new enhanced spaces.

A lovely bungalow with lots of potential. The dated basement was fully gutted and redesigned with a funky vintage twist. Often the hosts of parties, the clients needed a large bathroom, kitchenette and family room with ample seating. A stone feature wall is anchored with benches and pantries with loads of storage, accented with pops of bright blues and greens. Upstairs, the main bathroom backed onto a small ensuite powder room. These were joined together to create a larger L shaped space with a Zen
feel - including a custom teak vanity, faux wood wall, and wrap around Caesarstone bench.

This project was a retrofit of an existing back split, a challenge that married the new modern aesthetic with the present transitional one. The front of the home was gutted and extended out and up. The existing master bedroom was converted into a walk-in closet and a new bedroom was built above it, joined by a private open stairway. The downstairs addition includes a new acrylic kitchen, dining area, family room and mudroom. Custom woodwork and sculptural lighting create focal points throughout, adding the unique touch this one of a kind home deserves.

The house with no shadows. The concept of this home was more about the contrast of light versus dark and using divergent materials to create a fresh and contemporary flow. The buyers of this custom home hired me on to fully furnish and finish the house inside and out. A true Avenue Design home! We are still working on the final touches.
