MEET THE FOUNDER
EVA HEALY
Founder | Principal Designer
Beyond designer, Eva is an artist, visionary, lifestyle curator, and a mastermind of methodical project management. With an innate sense of creativity that can't be boxed into labels or titles, Eva's passion for interior design emerged after graduating with an Honors Double Major in law and psychology —realizing neither were her paths. Instead, she found her true calling when she enrolled in the International Academy of Design and Technology.

And so, it began in 2004, the journey that would see Eva shaping and influencing the contemporary design world and the lives of her discerning clientele.
By 2010, avenue design inc was no longer just an idea but a thriving reality, a testament to Eva’s commitment and drive. Anchored in the modern design niche, she established her forte early on, managing custom builds that set the tone for her brand's direction. As her professional horizon expanded, so did her team, morphing into the all-women powerhouse it is today.

Story behind the name?
"avenue design" was a playful twist inspired by Oprah's name spelled backwards, "Harpo." Flip “Eva” around and you get "Ave"—short for "avenue."
My love of languages?
It’s my jam! Fluent in Polish, English, and French, I'm now learning Italian for my European adventures. Fun fact: I didn't know a word of English when I came to Canada at 6.
Movie M.O.?
Movies and me? Let’s just say they double as my personal sleeping pill. But I’ve mastered the art of waking up and diving right back into the plot!

Workwise, my memory’s impeccable, catching every tiny detail of the project. But ask about something personal? That might take a moment!
Who’s sharing my daily chaos?
My hubby, Mike, my kids, Braeden and Leila, and Hugo, our horse-sized dog—all make sure there's never a dull moment.
Where do I find moments of peace?
Give me a few hours alone, and you'll find me on a patio, sipping an Aperol spritz, and soaking in the quiet moments.
p.s. And just for the record, darling, it's pronounced “Evvva,” not “Eeeva”— so continental, don't you think?

DALLI SOMAL

With almost a decade of experience in residential design, Dalli's passion is in curating stunning spaces for her clients. Beyond design, she sets the foundation for each project with timeless aesthetics, luxe finishes, and unexpected details.
Lighting is Dalli's forte—after all, “it is the jewelry of your home.”
A graduate of Sheridan College with an Honors bachelor’s degree in interior design (BID 2014), Dalli's expertise extends beyond her creative flair. She's the in-house tech and mental support, ensuring a seamless design journey for clients, marked by her calm and positive energy.
Known in the office as "Eagle Eye Dalli," if there's a deficiency in a design, she's the first to spot it.

ALYSSA COUROUX

Alyssa is our decorating virtuoso with a keen eye for detail. While she’s celebrated for her design flair, her expertise extends to the logistical side of the business, ensuring projects transition flawlessly from concept to completion.
In her seven-year tenure at avenue design, she’s taken on a mentorship role at the office and has utilized her patience and expertise to strengthen our ties with clients and vendors alike.
With high honors from Sheridan College in decorating under her belt, Alyssa seamlessly blends her formal education with her intrinsic design sense. Her designs often reflect her love of nature, a nod to her avid birding adventures around the globe.
Her Starbucks order? Nah, Alyssa would much prefer a nice glass of wine.

Can’t live without: Birdwatching or admiring bugs, reptiles, and amphibians, as well as my thriving jungle of over 30 tropical plants.

RACHEL SUBIC

With an innate ability to craft beautifully curated and highly functional spaces, Rachel excels in ensuring that her designs not only resonate with the people who occupy them but also echo their aspirations. Since obtaining her Interior Design diploma in 2016, her commitment to excellence has been unstoppable.
Rachel's design ethos is characterized by a natural, fresh, and timeless style—a signature blend that organically syncs with the specific wants and needs of her clients.
Outside the office, Rachel is a vivacious spirit. She's the energy in a live concert crowd, the adventurer seeking the thrill of outdoor activities, and the playful companion to her Bugg, Bernard and Scottish Fold, Cash.

BROOKE ROBERTSON

Fresh out of Sheridan College's Interior Decorating Program (2023), Brooke brings a burst of vibrant, innovative ideas to avenue design. While she's considering further honing her craft with a bachelor's degree in interior design, today Brooke is focused on absorbing the wisdom of her design colleagues.
Beyond design, Brooke is passionate about health, fitness, soccer, and aesthetics. With a perpetually positive mindset, her enthusiasm is infectious, promising a dynamic approach to her work.

SARAH ABDELAAL
GABY LIVINGSTONE

As an emerging talent from Toronto Metropolitan University, Sarah brings fresh energy and innovative ideas to avenue design studio as a junior designer. Her imminent graduation with Honors, in addition to making the Dean's list during her tenure at school, signals a bright future. Sarah’s primary role involves creating detailed drawings and 3D renders, essential in supporting the senior design team. Her keen eye for detail and immense appreciation for the transformative power of design makes Sarah a valuable member of the avenue design team.

Gaby is the backbone of every design project, managing the behind-the-scenes logistics—from invoicing and ordering to deliveries and accounting. Though new to the role, her contributions, and years of experience in office administration are already making waves, streamlining the process from approval to completion.
Born in Melbourne but raised in Sydney, Gaby met the love of her life in her hometown. After tying the knot, the adventurous couple relocated first to Singapore and then to Canada.
Away from the spreadsheets and schedules, Gaby is an avid globetrotter.
